Testimonial of a Pioneer APTLD Fellow from .LA to APTLD75

It has been a wonderful experience being part of the APTLD75 Meeting under APTLD Fellowship. From the day of arrival until the day I finished off the meeting, I was learning and getting the new experience from this training and meeting every day.

Prior to the meeting, the first two days of training are very important for me because the training topics are relevant to support the marketing plan to increase the number of domain name and help understand the registrar and reseller requirements.  In addition, the training in the second day was useful for the technical to design and manage their network by using IPV6.

The first morning of the meeting was the opening session and after that I joined the panel discussion. The topic about General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is an important part to explain about administrative, legal and operational effects of the GDPR on gTLDs as well as ccTLDs. In the afternoon, I had an opportunity to present about Local Presence in .LA under topic Whether Local Presence for Registrants Matters that was very exciting time because it was the first time for me to present in front of the audience from many countries and I received a warm welcome from them.

After finished the first day of the meeting, participants went to dinner on board of a traditional Dhow to see a Dubai night view and it was a very fantastic city. Dubai has many types of transportation to go anywhere easily by using Metro and can save time. I have learnt about life style, food and tradition here.

The last day of the meeting was very intensive, every session was very interesting that make it very hard for me to decide which one to join. In the end, I joined the session about the new registry service which show the new service system that developed to protect registries and resolve problems that happen with registration process. This session is very interesting for me.

After the APTLD75, I have gained a lot of new knowledge and experience that is an important step for me to glow in my career path. Also, I have made a network with participants from other countries. Thanks to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of the United Arab Emirates to sponsored travel on board of a traditional Dhow and especially thank a lot to APTLD to give the great opportunity and GM to support and prepare everything before my arrival until I came back to my country safely.
