Survey Report: ccTLD Marketing Strategies (Shared through Email)
Executive Summary
※ The most important objective of recent marketing campaigns has been to promote the TLD brand’.  Education and increasing sales were also high in focus.
※ A high portion of members’ focus campaigns at general users however more specific audiences include SMEs.  Registrars were not rated highly in the average target audience of ccTLD campaigns.
※ Members consider advertising via registrars as the most effective communication channel
※ Most ccTLDs have run between 1-5 promotions/campaigns over the past 12 months
※ Most ccTLDs focus their marketing efforts within their local country
※ Return on investment (ROI) is often measure by increase in sales/registrations with ‘brand awareness’ being noted as an intangible measurement of ROI
※ Marketing material and education are the two most common types of support provided to registrars.

※ A majority (56%) of ccTLDs do not gives any sales targets or incentives to their registrars.
