APTLD

n Next Event: APTLD’s next meeting for Members and Friends will be in Muscat, Oman starting on Sunday, 11 May 2014. There will be three days of conference and may be additional days for focused workshops.

n APTLD is now seeking volunteers to participate in the Oman meeting.

 

MoU Signed between APTLD and APRALO during ICANN 49

APTLD’s Don Hollander and APRALO’s Siranush Vardanyan signing a MoU between the two organisations during the ICANN meeting in Singapore 26 March 2014.

APRALO consists of 35 certified At-Large Structures who cover the huge territories from Caucasus to New Zealand, from China to Australia and from the Middle East to the Pacific Islands. According to the World Internet Users Statistics, the APRALO region makes up 49.5% of all internet users. On March 26 2014 during ICANN 49 Public meeting in Singapore APRALO very privileged to sign an official Memorandum of Understanding with Regional APTLD. This is the new era of mutual cooperation and support with important regional organisation, which will strengthen the relationship that APRALO has, and can continue into the future in partnership with this important regional partner.

When she’s not pursuing international cooperation agreements, Siranush is engaged in the development of the Internet community in Armenia, where she juggles the role of mother and local and global advocate for Internet users.

Don Hollander has been the General Manager of APTLD just since November last year.  In his spare time he surrounds himself with more than 60,000 books – and likes cooking round food.
