TWNIC Gets Engagement Right. On 15-16 Apr, the ICANN APAC Office partnered with TWNIC to co-host the 2nd ICANN APAC-TWNIC Engagement Forum. The event was in a hybrid format, and the APAC regional community was invited to participate online.
Key opening speakers include Vint Cerf (a Father of the Internet), Milton Mueller (Professor, School of Public Policy, Georgia Institute of Technology), Pablo Hinojosa (Strategic Engagement Director, APNIC), Yuh-Jye Lee (TWNIC Board Chair), and Akinori Maemura (ICANN Board member).
The Forum also featured the 35th TWNIC Internet Protocol Open Policy Meeting (IP OPM) with the help of APNIC. More information, including full agenda and registration information, is on the event website https://forum.twnic.tw/2021/index.htm

The Russian IGF has just kicked off in Moscow. Colourful intros are its hallmark. The event is streamed on Zoom and YouTube. Video
The RIGF is opened by the Hon. Maksut Shadaev, the RF Minister for Digital Development who also gave state awards to fathers of the Russian Internet to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the RUnet. Photos
