It looks like EnCirca Domains, the .PW registry, is developing, an exciting new project for bridging web2 domains and web3 identities.
Built in collaboration with ENS Labs, which operates the Ethereum Naming Service, w3.link is designed to introduce new-comers to web3 in a safe and secure manner with minimal fuss.
The service is operated by Altroots, an EnCirca spin-off, and Encirca partnered with the .link registry for the service’s first TLD. As the ENS Labs exclusive partner for on-boarding mainstream users to ENS, Encirca will be adding support for all ICANN TLDs in the coming months. The service will also be available via other ICANN registrars. By partnering with ENS, Encirca positions DNS registries as the safest on-ramp to web3 and avoid the potential ICANN namespace collisions that exist with other web3 naming services.
Their first service is a web3-based Link-in-Bio webpage that resolves natively on both web2 and web3 browsers. Integration to ENS is optional, thus there are no gas fees, cryptocurrency nor digital wallets required to use the service.
Encirca will be in Hamburg, so do not hesitate to find them there for more details.
