Representatives of the US International Media Agency “Voice of America” visited the Samarkand social and educational complex IT Village, created by UZINFOCOM.
The trip was organized as part of a training course on solutions journalism. Guests were given a tour of the entire complex and were introduced to the infrastructure and educational programs of the IT Village.
Journalists noted the high level of organization and modern equipment of the complex, talked with students and emphasized the importance of such educational initiatives for the training of young specialists.

We were pleased to share our Digital Lives of Australians 2024 research at a roundtable discussion with CEDA, hosted by IBM last week. The discussion generated fascinating insights from industry experts, with a focus on AI, including:
– The importance of AI literacy and critical thinking for the future workforce
– Prioritising human expertise and user experience for successful AI implementation
– The need to build ethical considerations into the development of AI.

LK Domain Registry : transforming the country’s digital landscape—
Embarking on the first steps of a transformative journey with Information Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka – ICTA to reshape the digital face of Sri Lanka’s government websites, the first awareness session for selected government websites was conducted by ICTA and LK Domain Registry on 11th July 2024.
The sessions featured Sampath Hennayake, Manager IT Operation, and Harsha Saparamadu, Information Security Engineer of LK Domain Registry, who led the Website Security & Awareness session. Uthpalani Kavisekara, Senior Training Officer at LK Domain Registry, addressed the Importance of Government Web Development Standards and Procedures.

We’re proud to announce the inaugural Asia Pacific Internet Governance Academy Australia (APIGA Australia), a new initiative by auDA dedicated to developing the next generation of Australian youth leaders in the internet and digital ecosystem. The two-day program will be led by industry experts and held in Melbourne from 20-21 November 2024. APIGA Australia is open to those living in Australia, aged 18-35.
