In compliance with para 4.1.11 of the APTLD Constitution, the Board designated Mr. Alireza Saleh of IRNIC as a new APTLD Board member, which he has gladly accepted. Alireza will occupy the position vacated by Mr. Yousef Sarairah till 2017 AGM.
Board is confident that this appointment will add to the diversity of the Board. In addition, his technical expertise, management experience of running .IR, and active involvement in ICANN activities will make useful contribution especially on issues that are of particular interest to ccTLDs in the Middle East.

Bio of Mr. Alireza Saleh
Mr Alireza Saleh is CEO of the IPM/IRNIC the .ir and ای ران . ccTLD registries. In the past, as a Project Manager he contributed to the ICANN’s IDN program to develop Internationalized Domain Names and was behind successful implementation of a number of Arabic-Script IDNs. He also served to the community as a Registry Service Evaluation Panelist at ICANN. As well, he contributed to a number of DNS-related working groups at IETF and ICANN and actively participated in the development of the IDNA2008 protocol.
