APTLD Signs MoU with RIPENCC at APTLD88 in Belgrade

The Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association (APTLD), represented by the Board Chair, Ms. Ai-chin Lu, is thrilled to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Réseaux IP Européens Network Coordination Centre (RIPE NCC), represented by CEO Hans Petter Holen).

The MoU was officially signed on September 9, 2025, during the opening session of the APTLD88 member meetings in Belgrade, Serbia held in a hybrid format hosted by Регистар националног интернет домена Србије (РНИДС) RNIDS in Belgrade, Serbia saw participation from 90 onsite participants over various days, along with a total registration of 153 attendees both onsite and online. This collaboration represents a significant milestone, as both organizations share the responsibility of managing essential Internet resources, aligned with the Internet for All statement of APTLD.

The signing of this MoU is a pivotal moment for APTLD with our 80 members, allowing us to benefit from RIPE NCC ’s expertise and regional insights. This partnership bolsters advancements in Internet technology and serves the interests of end-users in #AsiaPacific region, underpinned by our shared
commitment to a more secure Internet connection, which resonates with the APTLD Internet For All Statement.

Established in 1998, APTLD is a non-profit, membership-based association representing country-code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) registries in the Asia Pacific region. APTLD&#39;s mission focuses on enhancing coordination, knowledge sharing, and regional involvement in Internet governance while fostering stability and security within the domain name system.

RIPE NCC serves as the Regional Internet Registry for Europe, the MiddleEast, and CentralAsia, supporting over 20,000 members across 76 countries. In alignment with Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association (APTLD) , RIPE NCC collaborates with various stakeholders to promote the stable operation and democratization of the Internet.

Renewing the partnership, initially established in 2017 with RIPE NCC, strengthens APTLD expanding network of alliances with global Internet organizations and enhances our regional connections.
