The May 2026 Edition of The GM Recap

< back to list

This edition primarily focuses on the preparations and promotion for APTLD90 in Mongolia, while also celebrating member achievements and regional Internet community activities.

In celebration of Internet Week and in line with APTLD’s “Internet for All” Statement, I selected several member highlights and regional activities featured in this edition, based on updates and materials shared through the Secretariat’s bi-weekly newsletters and member communications.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me or the Secretariat directly regarding any topics you would like included in my next recap to share with the community. We would also be delighted to hear about your significant milestones so we can celebrate and share them with the wider APTLD community.

Special thanks to Sokomi (https://sokomi.com), an APTLD Associate Member, for its invaluable support with the design of this newsletter.

I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to all members who contributed stories, highlighted their work, and inspired this edition through their feedback on APTLD and their involvement in shaping the APTLD90 programme. Wishing everyone continued success and meaningful outcomes.

Key Highlights

APTLD90 Preparation
The newsletter highlights the countdown to the 90th Members Meeting in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (14–17 September 2026), hosted by Datacom and .MN. It outlines planned discussions on AI, DNS security, Universal Acceptance (UA), registry operations, data analytics, and regional collaboration.

Visit to Mongolia
In April 2026, I visited Mongolia to coordinate preparations with Datacom, the .MN registry, government agencies, and regulators.
