Summary of the Board Meeting Minutes (19 July 2023)

On 19 July 2023, the APTLD Board held a regular meeting, which was attended by 7 Board Members, with one of them compelled to leave the meeting early, and considered a range of matters. A summary of the meeting is published in this document.

GM’s Update on Progress in Preparations for APTLD84

The Board noted with satisfaction a significant progress in registrations and the number of confirmed speakers, and suggested GM consider co-sponsoring attendance of a speaker from a partner organization; the Board also approved funding an APTLD Director’s attendance of the Meeting on the Director’s request. The Board also expressed appreciation to GoDaddy Registry and ICANN for their sponsorship commitments for APTLD84.

Update on the 2023 Budget

The Board took notice of the GM’s update on budget execution and concluded that the budget is executed in line with the original projections.

Consideration of Amendments to the APTLD Policy of Funding for APTLD Board Members to Attend Face-to-Face Board Meetings

The Board approved the final draft of the document and suggested the Secretariat posted the amended Policy on the APTLD website.

Selection of the Virtual Event Platform Provider for 2024

The Board received the GM’s report on marketing for VEP options and examined the shortlisted ones, and selected Zoho as the most suitable option which promises massive economies of scale. The Board suggested GM engage with the provider to purchase the service.

Nomination of an APTLD Representative for the AP* Retreat in Kyoto on 11 September 2023

The Board nominated Ms. Yuri Takamatsu as an APTLD representative in the event.

The Board also considered other administrative matters.
