Summary of the Board Meeting Minutes (20 September 2023)

On 20 September 2023, the APTLD Board held a regular meeting, which was attended by all Board Members. A summary of the meeting is published in this document.

Board Discussion on the APTLD84 outcomes

The Board discussed the Meeting outcomes and unanimously agreed it was satisfactory, and expressed a big appreciation to KISA for hosting the High-Level Meeting, as well the Members Meeting and Gala Dinner.

Members in Arrears

The Board received the GM’s update and expressed concerns about several Members that have not yet paid their 2023 Membership fees. The Board suggested the Secretariat forward to such Members a notice of suspension of services and a grace period of 90 days starting from the day of dispatch of such a notice to rectify the situation. The Board further agreed that in the case of such members’ failure to match the timeline, it will be ready to discuss a cease of their Membership.

Update on the 2023 Budget

The Board took notice of the GM’s update on budget execution and concluded that the budget is executed in line with the original projections. The Board took notice of the GM’s clarification of the need to gather more data related to the conduct of APTLD84, which should be completed by the end of the month. The Board also expressed its gratitude to all the sponsors of APTLD84.

APTLD86 Dates

The Board ruled to hold the 86^th Members Meeting on 17-20 September 2024

APTLD86 Venue

The Board considered competitive bids and selected Novotel Da Nang, Viet Nam, as the APTLD86 venue.

Preparations for APTLD85

The Board took notice of Mr. Kumar Rajiv’s update on the matter.

Further Steps in Promoting and Implementing the “Internet for All” Policy Statement

The Board reviewed the outcome of the High-Level Meeting and defined a course of action and timelines for subsequent activities to gather the APTLD Membership’s support of the Policy Statement.

The Board also considered other administrative and financial matters.
