Summary of the Board Meeting Minutes (16 October 2024)

On 16 October 2024, the APTLD Board held its regular online meeting, which was attended by all Directors, except one agenda item for which one director recused herself due to the conflict of interests, and considered a range of matters. A summary of the Meeting is published in this document.

GM’s Update on Preparations for APTLD87

The Board received the GM’s update on the matter and took notice of it.

GM’s Update on the 2024 Budget

The Board received a regular monthly update on the state of the 2024 budget and noted it is generally healthy and its revenue part is in excess of the projections made for 2024.

Consideration of the First Version of the Draft 2025 Budget.

The Board reviewed an initial version of the draft 2025 budget and concluded that it should be made subject to further review.

Review of the Submission of the Members Working Group on Development of the APTLD Strategic Plan for 2025-2027 (DSPWG-3)

The Board reviewed the Strategic Plan for 2025-2027 and commended the working group for the most efficient work on the document; the Board concluded that it needs more time to further review the document.

2^nd Review of the TWNIC’s Note to the Board

The Board conducted the 2^nd round of review of the TWNIC’s note to the Board and after an intensive discussion agree that the issue should be examined further with a view of concluding on the matter.

Consideration of the GM’s Memorandum on Putting the Legal Counselor Contract out for Tender and the Draft Request for Proposals

The Board reviewed the Memorandum and a draft Request for Proposals and suggested GM contact MYNIC for further advice on the matter and promptly initiate the closed-quotation tender process with a view of selecting a winner by mid -December 2024.

Review of the Draft Board Election Notice and Process

The Board reviewed the Election Notice and general timelines and suggested the Secretariat verify specific timelines and Voting Representative data and ensure the process is implemented in a timely manner.

The Secretariat’s Report on Members’ Contacts Disclosure

The Secretariat reported to the Board that the Secretariat received several requests for sharing Members’s contacts. The Board reaffirmed its commitment to not sharing Members’ contacts to any unauthorized third party without permission.
