Summary of the Board Meeting Minutes(16 July 2025)

On 16th July 2025, the APTLD Board held its regular online meeting, which was attended by seven of the eight of the Directors and considered a range of 

APTLD89 update

GM provided an update on the progress of preparations and the current situation in the Middle East. GM has been assigned the responsibility of collecting further information to present to the Board at the upcoming meeting.

MOU with Sokomi.com

The Board has approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sokomi.com, requesting that the General Manager (GM) include additional context in the document and discuss with Sokomi.com. The GM is authorized to sign the MOU with Sokomi.com.

APTLD88 Fellow

GM notified the Board that one of the APTLD88 fellows has recently declined their position (July 7th, 2025) for personal reasons. The Board acknowledged this information.

ICANN84 Fellowship

A fellowship of USD 2,000 has been designated for ICANN84, which has now been relocated from Oman to Ireland, as outlined in the 2025 budget. The GM asked about proceeding, the Board chose to postpone until APTLD89 or next year’s fellowship.

MOU with RIPE NCC 

The Board noted the update concerning the MOU draft. The General Manager will finalize the MOU with RIPE NCC by the next Board meeting, aiming for it to be ready for signing during APTLD88 in Serbia.                                                    

APTLD88 Financial Logistic

GM seeks Board approval for the co-organization contract and prepayment for APTLD88 logistics with the host, so the host can assist with necessary domestic settlement. The Board has approved the signing of the co-organization contract and the advance transfer to the host for APTLD88 logistics.

APTLD Website

The Board asked about showcasing the remaining number of event days on the APTLD website. The secretariat clarified the constraints of the page and will make the necessary updates promptly.
