The 2nd APTLD Secretariat Performance and Contract Review Working Group Held Its Meeting

Pursuant to the Board’s decision of (17 May) and the Call for Volunteersto the the Secretariat Performance and Contract Review Working Group , SPRWG-2 was established. The WG comprised both APTLD Board Directors (Ms. Ai-chin LU (.TW), Mr. Erhan Karabardak (.PG) and Mr. Rajiv Kumar (.IN)) as well as Members’ representatives (Ms. Shaima Al-Mukhaini (.OM) and Messrs. Norman Warput (.VU) and Yudho Giri Sucahyo (.ID).

At its meeting on 30 May, SPRWG-2 members adopted the Charter and elected Mr. Rajiv Kumar (.IN) as the Chair and Mr. Leonid Todorov (APTLD) as the Secretary. 

In the course of an extensive discussion the Working Group reviewed CNNIC’s performance as the APTLD Secretariat and found it satisfactory.

The Working Group also reviewed the APTLD Secretariat Contract and suggested certain recommendations thereto for the Board.

In conclusion, SPRWG-2 by majority voted for a recommendation for the Board to extend the APTLD Secretariat Contract with CNNIC for the term of 3 years, through 30 June 2026, while suggesting that the Board should develop a tender procedure for the Secretariat Contract.
