Call for Comments on the Draft APTLD Members’ Statement “Internet for All”
< back to listThe ad-hoc Working Group on the Development of the APTLD Members Policy Statement (PSDWG) has completed its mission, and APTLD is now pleased to open the Public Comment period on the Statement, which is forwarded to Members by email and available on request on GoogleDocs.
The Background
APTLD (Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Association) is a membership-based, non-for-profit organization that serves ccTLD (country-code Top Level Domain) registries in Asia Pacific region.
APTLD operates as the forum of information exchange regarding technological and operational issues of domain name registries in Asia Pacific region. As an interface to other international Internet coordinating bodies, APTLD fosters and elevates participation of AP ccTLDs in these global fora, as well as acts in the best interest of APTLD members in global Internet policy making process.
The 25th anniversary of APTLD is a good cause for crafting a long-term vision for the Association’s advancement, which should complement its Strategic Plans , which is now available for Members’ public comments to be further tabled for the Ordinary Members High-Level Meeting scheduled for 18 September 2023 on the sidelines of APTLD84.
The Purpose
To invite the APTLD Membership to comment on the draft Statement and, where possible and agreeable to the Members, to incorporate their comments in the final draft thereof. After due consideration of inputs thus provided, the final draft of the Statement will be considered for adoption at the High-Level Meeting.
Comments
Members are invited to forward their comments in an arbitrary format to the APTLD Secretariat at sec@aptld.org.
Timelines
This Call expires at 23:59 Beijing time 10 September 2023.
PSDWG will review Members’ inputs until 15 September 2023
PSDWG Chair will share the Working Group’s deliberations with the Board and the High-Level Meeting on 15 and 18 September 2023, respectively.
PSDWG Chair and the High-Level Meeting representative(s) will share a final report to APTLD Members at the concluding session of APTLD84 on 20 September 2023
